What does the Bible say about man's worth in God's eyes?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that while man is weak and sinful, he is not worthless; rather, he is made in God's image and has intrinsic worth.

Scripture reveals that man, though created from dust, was made in God's image and endowed with significant dignity and worth. Psalm 8:4-5 highlights this dichotomy, where man is said to be made a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honor. While the Fall has marred this image and rendered man a sinner, the worth remains as God sees value in man despite sin and rejoices in his salvation through Christ. Furthermore, man's worth is not predicated on his deeds but is anchored in God's election of him, as reflected in Ephesians 1, where believers are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world.
