What does the Bible say about Melchizedek and Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Melchizedek represents Jesus as our eternal High Priest, being both a king and a priest without beginning or end.

Melchizedek, mentioned in Genesis 14 and referenced in Hebrews 7, signifies the type of Christ as our High Priest. He is called the King of Righteousness and the King of Peace, qualities that exclusively belong to Jesus Christ. As Hebrews 7 explains, Melchizedek's eternal nature points to Christ, who has no beginning or end, establishing Him as the High Priest forever. Unlike the Levitical priests who died, Jesus, as our eternal High Priest, sits at the right hand of God, having offered Himself once for all for our sins.
