What does the Bible say about mortality?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that life is brief and should lead us to seek wisdom in Christ.

According to Psalm 90:12, we are instructed to number our days so that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. The brevity of life reminds us of our mortality and the need for salvation through Christ. Moses, familiar with death, implores us to understand our frailty and the limits of our existence. Realizing the temporality of life leads to a deeper appreciation of God’s eternal purpose and a desire to seek wisdom, which is ultimately found in Christ.
