What does the Bible say about Moses and his mission?

Answered in 1 source

Moses was chosen by God to deliver the Israelites from Egypt, armed with a powerful message and signs to demonstrate God's sovereignty.

In Exodus 4, God commissions Moses to go to Pharaoh and demand the release of the Israelites. Despite his initial reluctance and doubts about his ability to convince the people, God assures Moses that He will equip him with signs and wonders. The message Moses is to preach includes the significance of his rod transforming into a serpent, which symbolizes God's authority and the forthcoming salvation of His people. This foreshadows Christ as the ultimate deliverer, who took on the curse of sin and emerged victorious, drawing His people to Himself.
