What does the Bible say about natural man and his religion?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the natural man is inherently religious but lacks true spiritual life (Romans 1:19-20, Romans 2:14-15).

The Apostle Paul in his writings describes the natural man as one who, although born into this world with a consciousness of God, does not possess spiritual life. Romans 1:19-20 highlights that what can be known about God is evident to all through creation, leaving them without excuse. Furthermore, Romans 2:14-15 affirms that even those without the written law have an innate understanding of right and wrong, demonstrating that natural man has a moral consciousness, yet is fundamentally flawed and cannot please God without regeneration.
