What does the Bible say about our freedom in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that in Christ, we are granted freedom from sin, guilt, and the bondage of the law.

In Galatians 5:1, we are instructed to 'stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.' This liberty encompasses our freedom from the guilt of sin, which was borne by Christ on the cross, freeing us from the just condemnation that our sins deserved. We no longer labor under the burden of the law, as Christ has fulfilled the law for us, making righteousness accessible solely through faith in Him.
