What does the Bible say about our nature as sinners?

Answered in 6 sources

The Bible teaches that all humanity is completely sinful and spiritually dead due to Adam's fall (Romans 3:10-12).

The scriptures clearly assert that all mankind is under sin, and there is none righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10-11). According to Romans 3:12, we have all turned aside; together we have become worthless; no one does good, not even one. This total depravity means that spiritually, we are unable to seek after God or understand spiritual truths. Only by recognizing our fallen nature can we begin to grasp our need for salvation.
