What does the Bible say about our redemption?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we are redeemed not with corruptible things like silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ.

The Scriptures in 1 Peter 1:18-21 emphasize that our redemption comes through the blood of Christ, highlighting its priceless nature. This redemption cost more than any earthly treasure, as nothing on this earth could satisfy the debt of sin we owe to God. Our sin rendered us incapable of paying our debt; however, Christ's sacrifice, His sinless blood, is the only payment sufficient to redeem us from the penalty of our sins. It holds eternal value because it was offered once for all to secure our eternal redemption.
