What does the Bible say about overcoming fear?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible teaches that God is with us, and we should not be afraid of men, as He will deliver us in times of trouble.

Scripture encourages believers to confront their fears, as seen in Jeremiah 1:8, where God reassures us of His presence in our struggles. Being afraid often leads to faltering in faith and could lead us into sin. However, the assurance of God's deliverance gives us strength; we are reminded that God will never abandon us in our times of need. As we face ridicule or threats, we must remember that our trust in God allows us to stand firm and courageous against fear, just as Daniel and his friends did in the face of peril.
