What does the Bible say about peace in John 14?

Answered in 1 source

In John 14:27, Jesus promises His peace, which is not like the world's but a true, comforting peace.

In John 14:27, our Lord Jesus Christ assures His disciples with the words, 'Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth, give I unto you.' This peace is distinctly different from the fleeting, temporary peace offered by the world. It is a profound assurance that transcends circumstances, rooted in the relationship believers have with Christ. As Christians, we recognize that true peace comes from knowing our sins are forgiven, our guilt is removed, and we are reconciled to God through Jesus’ sacrifice.
