What does the Bible say about peace in knowing God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that true peace comes from loving God's law and knowing His sovereign nature.

Psalm 119:165 states, 'Great peace have they which love thy law, and nothing shall offend them.' This highlights that true peace is not found in worldly circumstances but in the knowledge of God and His Word. Understanding the sovereignty of God enables believers to approach life's uncertainties with confidence. In this respect, peace is tied directly to our relationship with God; we embrace His law and trust in His ultimate authority. If we are deeply rooted in His Word, then regardless of turmoil, we can experience that peace which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
