What does the Bible say about peace in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that true peace comes from Jesus Christ, who offers peace that surpasses understanding.

The concept of peace in the Bible is deeply connected to the person of Jesus Christ, who declared, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you' (John 14:27). This peace is not like what the world gives; it is foundational and eternal, rooted in our relationship with God. In times of storms—be it physical, emotional, or spiritual—the assurance of Christ's presence leads to a calm that nothing else can provide. As believers, we learn that true peace is found in trusting and depending on God through the Holy Spirit, who brings to our remembrance the promises of God, producing a peace that comes from faith.
