What does the Bible say about peace in troubled times?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures believers that they can have peace even in troubled times through faith in Christ.

In John 14:27, Jesus explicitly tells His disciples, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.' This peace is not like that of the world, which is often temporary and dependent on external circumstances. Instead, Christ's peace is rooted in the assurance that He has overcome the world, as stated in John 16:33. This peace fills the hearts of believers with comfort and serenity, allowing them to remain steadfast in faith amidst tribulation.
