What does the Bible say about preservation in God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God is the preserver of men, keeping and guarding His people.

In Psalms, the psalmist declares, 'Preserve me, O God, for in Thee do I put my trust.' This reflects the deep assurance that comes from trusting in God's preservation. Just as a bodyguard surrounds a king, God encompasses His people, protecting them from evil. Our Lord Jesus Christ exemplified perfect trust in God as He cast Himself on the Father, demonstrating faith in His preservation through trials and suffering. His preservation is central to His mission and assures the elect that they are safeguarded in Him.
