What does the Bible say about preservation of believers?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God preserves His people through Himself and His Word.

In Psalm 12, the theme of preservation is prominent as it assures us that God Himself is the primary means of keeping His people. As David cries out for help, he acknowledges God's sovereignty and our helplessness. Jude 1:24 affirms this by stating that it is God who is able to keep His people from falling. Additionally, we see that the Word of God acts as a purifying force that protects believers from falsehood and sin, as noted in Romans 10:8, where Paul emphasizes faith in God's Word as a means of salvation.
