What does the Bible say about responsibility in Christian privilege?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God expects proportionate returns from those who receive spiritual privileges.

In Luke 13:6-9, the parable of the fig tree illustrates that where God grants special privileges, like the Jewish Church's access to divine revelation, He naturally expects fruitfulness. This expectation extends beyond Israel; it applies to today's Christian churches, which are blessed with the Gospel, Scripture, and ministries. Every believer must recognize that their spiritual advantages come with a high responsibility to bear fruit. As God gives blessings, He also looks for corresponding faith, holiness, and godliness as evidence of His work in our lives.
