What does the Bible say about responsibility to believe in Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that it is everyone's responsibility to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The scripture clearly states our personal responsibility to believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In John 12:36, Jesus urges the people to walk in the light while they have it, which emphasizes the necessity of belief while the opportunity exists. It is essential that each individual take this responsibility seriously, for to reject this call is to choose to live in darkness rather than light. The call to faith is a fundamental duty of all who hear the gospel, and a refusal to respond appropriately to that call results in one's own destruction, while belief leads to eternal life.
