What does the Bible say about rest in God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we should enter into God's rest as seen in Hebrews 4:10, where it states that those who enter His rest cease from their own works.

Hebrews 4:1-11 emphasizes that God's rest is a model for our own. Just as God rested after His work of creation, we also are called to rest from our own labors in faith. This rest signifies a spiritual state of trust in God's finished work of salvation through Christ, as expressed in verse 10: 'For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.' Therefore, entering this rest involves ceasing from self-reliance and trusting completely in God's provision for our salvation.
