What does the Bible say about salvation before Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that people were saved before Christ by grace through faith in Him, looking forward to His coming.

According to the scriptures, salvation has always been through faith in Christ, even before His incarnation. In Romans 4, we see Abraham credited with righteousness because he believed God. This establishes that believers in the Old Testament were saved in the same manner as New Testament believers—by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. They looked forward to the coming of the Messiah, just as we now look back at the finished work of Christ on the cross.
