What does the Bible say about Satan being bound?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible says that Satan is bound by God's power to prevent him from deceiving the nations until a specific time is fulfilled.

In Revelation 20:2-3, we see that Satan is cast into the bottomless pit and shut up with a seal placed upon him. This signifies his binding, which takes place by the authority and power of Christ, the angel of the covenant. This binding brings great comfort to the saints of God because it indicates that they can be delivered from their bondage to sin and oppression. While Satan is indeed powerful, he is ultimately God's devil, bound by God's sovereign decree to restrain him from causing further deception until the thousand years are completed.
