What does the Bible say about saying goodbye to God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible warns against the folly of trying to get rid of God, as seen in Psalm 2:1-3.

Psalm 2 highlights the vain conspiracy of worldly leaders and rulers who seek to rebel against God and His anointed. The psalmist captures the absurdity of such attempts, asking, 'Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain?' This resistance to God is not new; it dates back to the rebellion of Satan, as recorded in Isaiah 14, when Lucifer sought to exalt himself above God. Throughout history, from the sin of Adam and Eve to the actions of kings at Calvary, humanity has repeatedly attempted to dismiss God, which ultimately proves foolish. God remains sovereign; He cannot be removed or dismissed from His creation.
