What does the Bible say about spiritual paralysis?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that spiritual paralysis is a representation of our inherent inability to come to God without His grace.

In the sermon, spiritual paralysis is likened to the physical ailment of the man sick of the palsy in Matthew 9:1-8. This condition symbolizes the spiritual helplessness of all humanity, reflecting our deadness in sin (Isaiah 53:2-3). Just as the man could not walk, we, by our nature, are unable to walk before God or seek Him without divine intervention. The Scripture emphasizes that apart from God's sovereign grace, we are spiritually incapacitated, unable to respond to Him or understand our need for forgiveness.
