What does the Bible say about spiritual resistance from Satan?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Satan actively resists God's people, particularly during worship and prayer.

In Zechariah 3:1-2, we see a vivid portrayal of the high priest Joshua standing before the angel of the Lord with Satan at his right hand, seeking to resist him. This imagery reflects the ongoing spiritual battle believers face today. As we approach God in prayer and worship, we should not be surprised to feel resistance from the devil, who aims to distract and deter us from truly engaging with God. The Scripture encourages us to resist the devil, and he will flee from us, but this is no easy task, especially when the temptations and distractions feel overwhelming.
