What does the Bible say about standing in Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that we stand fast in the Lord through the gospel, Christ's doctrine, and His provisions.

In Philippians 4:1, we are admonished to stand fast in the Lord, a call rooted in the promise of Christ's return and our inheritance in Him. This standing involves being grounded in the gospel—recognizing that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus (Acts 4:12). Additionally, we stand firm in Christ's doctrine, understanding that He is our righteousness and our only way to approach God. As 1 Timothy 4:16 states, continuing in sound doctrine leads to salvation for ourselves and those who hear us. Finally, we are urged to stand in the liberty that Christ provides, moving away from the bondage of the law, as emphasized in Galatians 2:16.
