What does the Bible say about storms in life?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible teaches that storms represent the trials we face, through which God reveals His sovereignty and purpose.

In Matthew 14, the disciples find themselves in a storm while Jesus is praying. This situation illustrates that storms in life can be seen as God’s way of teaching us to depend on Him. As Psalm 107:23-24 states, 'They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters, these see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep.' The storms serve a divine purpose, drawing us closer to Christ and helping us recognize our need for Him.
