What does the Bible say about storms of life?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible tells us that storms come from God to test our faith and are part of the believer's journey.

The account in Luke 8:22-25 illustrates that the life of a believer will indeed face many storms—be they afflictions, trials, or tribulations. Jesus said, 'In the world ye shall have tribulation' (John 16:33), but he also encouraged his disciples to take heart because he has overcome the world. These storms, as described in Scripture, serve a purpose; they are trials meant to refine our faith, drawing us closer to God and teaching us to rely on His strength, as persisting in the storm leads to a greater depth of patience and character (Romans 5:3-5).
