What does the Bible say about temptations?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that all things, including temptations, work together for the good of those who love God (Romans 8:28).

The Scriptures affirm that temptations are not only a part of the Christian's experience but serve divine purposes. Romans 8:28 declares that 'all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.' Therefore, even temptations, which may seem negative on the surface, are orchestrated by God to fulfill His plan for our benefit. Temptations compel believers to seek God in prayer, strengthen their resolve against sin, and ultimately draw them closer to Christ.
