What does the Bible say about the beloved of God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that those who are saved are considered the beloved of God, chosen and called according to His purpose.

Scripture clearly states that the elect of God are referred to as the beloved. In Romans 1:7, Paul writes, "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints." This term 'beloved' signifies a deep, divine affection that God has for His people from eternity. As Wayne Boyd explains, this love does not come from any intrinsic value in us but is purely based on God's grace and sovereign will, demonstrating His unconditional love toward those He has redeemed through Christ.
