What does the Bible say about the blessings of Israel?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Israel was uniquely blessed by God with adoption, glory, covenants, and the law (Romans 9:4-5).

The Apostle Paul, in Romans 9, outlines the tremendous blessings bestowed upon Israel, God's chosen people. They were granted the adoption, meaning they were set apart as God's own children. The glory refers to the divine presence that dwelled among them, especially through the tabernacle and the temple. Additionally, God made covenants with their forefathers—such as Abraham, Moses, and David—providing them with a unique relationship and promises. They were also entrusted with the law, which no other nation received, enabling them to understand God's will and standards. Despite these blessings, Israel often erred and turned away from God, showing that mere privilege does not guarantee faithfulness.
