What does the Bible say about the ceremonial law?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that Christ has blotted out the ceremonial law, fulfilling it through His sacrifice on the cross.

In Colossians 2:14, Paul writes that Christ has 'blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us,' referring specifically to the ceremonial law of the Old Testament. This law consisted of various sacrifices, rituals, and ordinances that were intended to highlight the seriousness of sin and the need for atonement. However, these practices ultimately pointed to Christ, who took them away by offering Himself as the ultimate sacrifice. Hebrews 10:1-4 reinforces this by indicating that the sacrifices under the Old Covenant could never take away sins, but Christ’s sacrifice accomplished what the law could not.
