What does the Bible say about the character of the godly?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes the godly as those who delight in the law of the Lord and avoid the counsel of the wicked.

In Psalm 1:1-3, the blessed man is characterized by his separation from the ungodly and his deep delight in God's law. He does not associate with those who disregard God's commands; instead, he meditates on God's Word day and night, which leads to spiritual prosperity and fulfillment. The godly man is likened to a tree planted by the rivers of water, flourishing and fruitful in all his endeavors, indicative of the divine blessings upon him.
