What does the Bible say about the credibility of the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible affirms the gospel as factual through the witness of the apostles, God the Father, and the prophets.

In 2 Peter 1:16-21, the apostle Peter asserts that the gospel is not a fabricated story, but a credible account established through credible witnesses. He presents a three-fold witness: first, the apostles themselves who were eyewitnesses of Christ's power, coming, and majesty; second, God the Father’s declaration of Jesus as His beloved Son who deserves all honor and glory; and third, the prophecies from the Old Testament that foretold the coming of Christ. Each of these witnesses confirms that the gospel is the genuine revelation of God’s truth.
