What does the Bible say about the dangers of temptation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible warns that sin lulls individuals into a dangerous sleep, making them unaware of the peril surrounding them.

In Judges 16, we see Samson fall victim to the temptations presented by Delilah, illustrating how temptation can desensitize a person to their sinful state. Delilah’s repeated cries that 'the Philistines be upon you' serve as a reminder that by the time one recognizes their danger, it may already be too late. Just like a mouse in a trap, individuals can be lured by the attractive nature of sin, leading to their downfall.
