What does the Bible say about the difference between the old and new covenants?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the old covenant, based on the law, was weak and temporary, while the new covenant offers salvation through grace in Jesus Christ.

The writer of Hebrews contrasts the two kingdoms: that of the law given to Moses, which could not provide life and was ultimately weak, with the kingdom of Jesus Christ, which is eternal and offers true redemption. The law serves as a schoolmaster, demonstrating our inability to achieve righteousness, leading us to Christ who fulfills the law perfectly. In Christ, we find a law that cannot be shaken because its power is divine and not reliant on our own efforts.
