What does the Bible say about the drawing of God to Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that no one can come to Jesus unless drawn by God the Father (John 6:44).

In John 6:44, Jesus explicitly states, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him." This underscores the essential doctrine of divine election and the sovereignty of God in the salvation of sinners. Individuals, by nature, are dead in their trespasses and cannot choose to follow Christ without divine intervention. It is God who must initiate the relationship through His Holy Spirit, drawing sinners to Himself. Without this divine drawing, individuals will remain in their sin and ultimately cannot come to Christ on their own.
