What does the Bible say about the dying of the Lord Jesus?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus allows His life to be made manifest in our bodies (2 Corinthians 4:10).

In 2 Corinthians 4:10, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that believers are called to bear about in their bodies the dying of the Lord Jesus. This concept is foundational to understanding the Christian life; it signifies that just as Christ suffered and died, believers too will face trials and challenges. However, in doing so, the life of Jesus can be manifested in our mortal flesh. This means that through our sufferings and challenges, the transformative power of Christ is evident, showcasing His strength and sustaining grace within us. By partaking in Christ's sufferings, we also share in His resurrection life, embodying the hope we have in Him.
