What does the Bible say about the effectiveness of preaching the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that preaching the gospel is effective and will accomplish God's purpose.

In 1 Thessalonians 2:1, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that preaching the gospel is not in vain. Just as Christ's death and intercession are not in vain, neither is the preaching of the word. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that gives the gospel efficacy; when God's word is spoken, it does not return void but accomplishes that which God intends (Isaiah 55:11). This means that every message proclaimed in truth holds significance and is heard by every listener, making individuals accountable for their response.
