What does the Bible say about the family?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the family is a divine institution established by God.

The family holds a sacred place in Scripture as it was instituted by God during creation. God created man and said, 'It is not good that man be alone' (Genesis 2:18), establishing the principle of marriage. The Lord Jesus honored family life by being born into a family, showing us that families are fundamental to human experience and divine design. While our culture may view family as a social construct, the biblical perspective sees it as an essential institution, rooted in God's purpose for humanity. Therefore, marriage must be approached with solemnity and commitment, as it is a covenant before God.
