What does the Bible say about the fullness of Christ?

Answered in 24 sources

The Bible teaches that all fullness dwells in Christ, including the fullness of the Godhead and all grace necessary for salvation.

In Colossians 1:19, the Apostle Paul proclaims that it pleased the Father that in Jesus Christ should all fullness dwell. This fullness encompasses not only the fullness of grace, mercy, and righteousness but also the complete fullness of the Godhead bodily. This means that Jesus Christ embodies everything that God is and everything that God requires of His people. All spiritual blessings come through Him, and thus He is the source from which all spiritual life flows. It is a profound comfort for sinners, as they can find their complete sufficiency in Him, who is not just a partial provider but the very essence of fullness for every need a believer might have.
