What does the Bible say about the future resurrection?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that there will be a resurrection of the dead, with some raised to everlasting life and others to eternal contempt.

In Daniel 12:2, we see a clear proclamation of a future resurrection, where many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awaken. Some will rise to everlasting life, which speaks to the hope and promise of redemption for believers. Conversely, others will face shame and everlasting contempt, highlighting the consequences of rejecting God's grace. This resurrection is fundamentally a demonstration of God’s justice and mercy, as it provides the moral resolution for how lives are lived in accordance with or in rebellion against God’s laws.
