What does the Bible say about the gospel being from man?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the gospel is not from man but is revealed by Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul asserts in Galatians 1:11-12 that the gospel he preached is not of human origin. He states, 'For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.' This indicates that the true gospel is divinely inspired and not a product of human wisdom or tradition. The importance of this distinction lies in the fact that a gospel based on human works or conditions ultimately distorts the message of Christ’s finished work, which is central to salvation. Thus, any gospel that depends on human effort or merit is deemed a 'gospel of works' and is not the true gospel of grace.
