What does the Bible say about the hand of God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible depicts the hand of God as powerful for both salvation and judgment.

The hand of God is represented throughout Scripture as a source of salvation, strength, and judgment. In Psalm 17:7, it is said, 'Show thy marvelous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that put their trust in thee.' Additionally, in John 10:28-29, Jesus emphasizes that no one can pluck His sheep out of His hand, highlighting His protective power. However, God's hand can also bring chastisement; as stated in Hebrews 12, 'For whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.' Thus, God's hand operates in both mercy and severity.
