What does the Bible say about the happiness of God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes God as infinitely happy and self-sufficient, independent of any external needs.

The Scripture reveals that God is the happy God, existing in perfect happiness and joy within Himself, as stated in 1 Timothy 1:11. He is not lonely or deficient, as humanity often is, but is eternally satisfied in the fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This happiness of God is not dependent on anything outside of Himself, and He is consistently described as one who acts based on His will and good pleasure, as seen in Revelation 4:11. Therefore, when we speak of God's happiness, we refer to His absolute and unchanging joy which is foundational to His character and actions.
