What does the Bible say about the help of man?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible states that the help of man is vain when it comes to dealing with our true troubles, especially sin.

According to Psalm 108:12, 'Give us help from trouble, for vain is the help of man.' This verse emphasizes that while human assistance can be beneficial in many areas, it ultimately falls short when addressing our fundamental need for forgiveness and reconciliation with God due to sin. No human effort can adequately address our spiritual condition or help us stand before a holy God without guilt or shame. The only true help comes from God Himself through Christ, who bore our sins and provided the way to reconciliation with the Father.
