What does the Bible say about the importance of having Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that our ultimate need is union with Christ, as He is the only source of true peace and fulfillment.

Scripture emphasizes that the most significant union one can have is with Christ. In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, it is stated that two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor, illustrating the importance of relationships. However, this relational truth points to the ultimate necessity of a relationship with Christ. Without Him, all labor and efforts are regarded as vanity. Ultimately, the only good that remains is the relationship with Christ, for He is our source of fulfillment. When we have union with Him, we find true rest and peace, and we are equipped to withstand the trials of life.
