What does the Bible say about the importance of seeing Christ in the Scriptures?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible reveals that understanding Scripture requires seeing Christ in its entire narrative.

The Bible is fundamentally a book about Jesus Christ. It is crucial for believers to approach Scripture with the understanding that every passage reveals something about Christ and His Gospel. As preachers and students of the Word, we should not be satisfied with mere academic knowledge of the texts; true understanding comes when we see Christ in them. Paul emphasizes this, stating that without a personal encounter with Christ, knowledge can lead to pride but not true understanding. Therefore, one has not fully grasped a scripture until it is viewed through the lens of Christ.
