What does the Bible say about the importance of trusting Christ over men?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we should not place our trust in men for our salvation, but solely in Christ.

In Micah 7:5-9, the Lord instructs us not to trust in friends or guides for our eternal salvation, highlighting the fleeting nature of human approval. Trusting in men inherently leads to disappointment, as human opinions are prone to fail and can lead us away from the truth of the gospel. Instead, our confidence should rest in Christ alone, as He is the source of eternal life and true salvation. The natural man often sacrifices God's approval for the endorsement of others, but through the born-again experience, believers are made willing to cling solely to Christ, who is the rock upon which the church is built.
