What does the Bible say about the impossibility of death holding Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible declares it is not possible for death to hold Jesus, as seen in Acts 2:24.

Acts 2:24 states that Jesus was raised by God, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it. This reflects the fulfillment of God's covenant promise where Jesus, through His perfect life and sacrificial death, fully accomplished the requirements necessary for our salvation. Just as a child must be born from a mother's womb, so too, the grave could not contain the Lord Jesus. His resurrection offers us the assurance that, in Him, we too will not be held by death.
