What does the Bible say about the issue of sin?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that all humans are born with sin, making them unclean and unable to worship God without a remedy.

Scripture clearly indicates that the issue of sin began with Adam, and it has affected every aspect of humanity. Romans 5:12 states, 'Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.' Just as the woman in Mark 5 had a physical issue that rendered her unclean, all people have a spiritual issue—an issue of sin—that distances them from God. Without recognizing our condition, we cannot comprehend the necessity of a saving remedy.
