What does the Bible say about the law and Christ's fulfillment of it?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the law, represented by Moses, was not abolished but fulfilled by Christ, who brings salvation through grace.

In the context of Joshua 1, Moses symbolizes the law, which must be satisfied for one to find grace. The law's strength lies in its condemnation of sin, as noted in 1 Corinthians 15:56, revealing that the sting of death is sin, and the power of that sin is the law. However, Christ fulfilled the law, thereby putting it to rest; salvation is now by grace through faith in Him, not by the works of the law. Therefore, any hope for salvation stemming from the law has been rendered obsolete, as Christ has accomplished every requirement of the law, thus delivering His people from its condemnation.
